Executive Artistic Director Meg Kruszewska is an educator, theater artist and theater administrator with three decades of experience in directing, producing, management, marketing and sales, and community outreach at non-profit art institutions. Having worked at some the most significant theaters in New York(BAM, Mabou Mines, En Garde Arts and for Shubert Organization producers), and having directed productions at regional theaters (LATC, Fountain Theater, Quantum Theater of Pittsburgh) as well being faculty at international research universities (Asian University for Women, Nazarbayev University, Central European University) and in California (CIIS, Sonoma State, Santa Rosa College), she founded MORE Theater/SB in 2024.

Her artistic and academic training has honed her sense of how to engage audiences and artists in creating thought-provoking, visually stimulating theater providing a reconsideration of the art form as defined by traditional theater.

Meg (Malgorzata) Kruszewska was born in Poland, having emigrated with her family at a young age to Bridgeport, Connecticut where she grew up in the immigrant, working-class community there. She holds a BA in Theater from UCLA, and advanced degrees in Asian Religions and Philosophies and Women’s Studies. Her PhD research conducted at both Claremont Graduate University and at the University of London- SOAS, explored constructions of knowledge through visual artifacts and rituals to the Indic goddess, Sarasvati.
